2024 WorldVets Mission Trip
In October 2024, Dr. Hammonds embarked on a life-changing spay/neuter mission with WorldVets, traveling to Quito, Ecuador, and the Galapagos Islands. Their mission was to provide much-needed spay/neuter services to pets and feral animals in San Cristobal Island. Over three days, the team performed 160+ surgeries, including trap-neuter-release procedures for feral cats.
While the work was demanding, the trip also offered unforgettable moments, from visiting the Andes Mountains and the Mitad del Mundo monument in Quito to touring the giant tortoise sanctuary in the Galapagos.
Dr. Hammonds’ dedication, along with the entire WorldVets team, made a meaningful impact on animal welfare in this unique region.
